This place must be the best kept secret in the area. My wife and I were passing through, and decided to eat here. The menu was full of delicious sounding options, so we tried most of the appetizers lol. Fried green tomatoes, mushrooms, … More

First time eating here and I was very impressed! First off, our waitress Tiffany was amazing! Everything we ate for late lunch on the daily special was fantastic…. Buuut, then there was THE peach cobbler! I haven’t had peach cobbler that good since the last time my grandmother made it 25+ years ago before she died! We ordered a half pan to pick up for Thanksgiving! Seriously, folks. It was seriously good!
Barney’s came highly recommended and lived up to the hype!

Ive been to steakhouses all over the country high and low level and this was the best wagyu steak I’ve ever had. The marinate was delicious and cooked to perfection. I’ll definitely be back More

100/10! Best southern food I've ever had! Tried fried green tomatoes for the first time! Saved this spot for the next time our travels take us this way. Bravo to the cook! Servers were awesome and so polite! More

I stepped into here not knowing what to expect. This place is amazing! The waitress did great, and the food was tops, about like homemade. I ordered my steak medium well, and it turned out a little more well than medium but it was soft and juicy and full of flavor! Not to mention the mozzarella sticks!! Honestly the best you can hope to find anywhere!

Traveling through the area and decided to give this place a try. Very happy we did. Food & atmosphere was wonderful. Our waitress was friendly. Our only complaint is the restaurant appeared to be understaffed. I say this because it took a while to get our food and our appetizer was brought out with our meal. There appeared to be only 2 waitresses and one hostess tending to the whole restaurant. However, we definitely will be stopping by again when passing through the Gadsden area!

This place is hard to review. If you wanted to come here after church on Sunday you would probably not be out of place.
Atmosphere: would be better if not for the fact that the music is way too loud, could not even place my order with the bar keep, and way too Christian. Three tvs. One playing that garbage music. Two playing a Billy graham show… perfect for church people. I intended to stay longer and would have done so, spending more money, if not for the horrible music. I even had headphones on, as did other patrons, and couldn’t stay longer due to this.
Food. I ordered fried green tomatoes. Tomatoes were undercooked, breading was decent, just barely over breaded. Seasoning was average if not slightly below average. I also ordered blackened catfish with shrimp. Basically it was a few pieces of jumbo shrimp and a few pieces of catfish fillet, you know, the prices most restaurants throw away, drowned in cheese and grease. Seasoning was very absent. Unless you consider cheese to be seasoning. Fries were inconsistently cooked, read various levels of overcooked, and over salted.
Service. Barkeep was good. I’m not a fan of bars that require the bar keep to also be a waitress, but in this case the place is so slow that most of the staff wasn’t near busy anyway. Despite that, she was attentive, and efficient.
Housekeeping. This alone is enough to make me reticent to come back. The bar was built poorly, with deep grooves that aren’t cleaned on a regular basis. If I were employed here I’d refuse to work the bar for this reason alone. If you do choose to eat here I would strongly recommend a table. Though admittedly, I didn’t inspect a single one on my way out.
Overall. If this were a church I would give it three stars. Two deducted for the lack of hygiene and seasoning. For a bar, I think giving it one star is being generous. That might be different if I had gone to the restaurant side of the house. But it was a poor enough experience that I’ll refrain from returning. I’ll just have fast food next time and save myself about $60.
Alcohol selection. Beer. Average selection. Liquor. Slightly below average selection. Scotch. Well below average selection.

So got here, hostess was nice and all but sat us at a table that apparently the server had left and went home. So the bar tender/server got our drink order and appetizer but forgot to tell whoever was supposed to be our server that we were there. So, after over 20 mins, we finally placed our order, got our drinks and appetizer. We got fried pickles. The first couple I ate were decent enough actually. Then they started crumbling in my hands. They were so overdone, they were inedible. The pickle inside the batter crumbled when you broke the breading. Apparently, the table next to us agreed because on their app sampler, guess what was left on their plate? Yeah, the pickle bricks. Then when we got our check, $78 dollars for two people for decent meals, crappy appetizer and A VERY LONG WAIT ALL THE WAY AROUND. Considering this is a Saturday night and the place is so empty it echoes. Being next to a truck stop, this place should be banging and busy and just overflowing! But I now know better than to EVER step in here again. Our actual waitress was great when we got her, but waiting on someone to see if we needed the to go stuff and when we didn’t get our check with the to go and had yet another wait there, I spent more time waiting than anything else. $78 my tail. $40 of it for a 14oz steak that was 10oz fat. My dogs will at least enjoy it because my son and I won’t eat just fat. NEVER again! Another customer leaving about the same time as us said it best. It’s only a matter of time before this place closes. It’s crap. Beyond mediocre VERY EXPENSIVE food and slow, eh service, the atmosphere is just…well, nothing. It’s boring with no personality and nothing stands out about anything in there. It’s all around too much for way too little.

My Husband and I stopped in today, for the first time. At first, we were a little apprehensive because it was empty. In all fairness, it was only noon on a weekday. But, we sat down anyway and started looking over the menu.
It’s a little on the pricey side for some things, but once the food came, I completely understood why.
I ordered the Hamburger Steak with Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. Every single thing on my plate was delicious! As truck drivers, we frequent many places along our routes. 99.9% of those places, the food comes off the back of a McLane or Sysco truck…and you can tell. But when I tell you this food is the real deal, it is! The mashed potatoes still had skins. My hamburger steak wasn’t uniform. The Brussels sprouts didn’t need anything added (salt or pepper). It was divine!
My Husband had the Shrimp basket. He is an even bigger skeptic than I am and NEVER finishes the food on his plate. He did this time. And that alone speaks volumes for this place!
*I didn’t finish mine only because I had the VSG procedure and physically couldn’t. But I would if I could. It’ll make great leftovers for me and I can enjoy it a second time around 😊

What a wonderful break from the usual crap us truckers get on the road. Our waitress was amazing and so was the food. I can't believe how good my husband's steak tasted. That can be hard to find out here. It was cooked exactly how he asked. I loved my fried pork chop dinner. Those brussel sprouts were on point as well. More

It looks good but was not at all. First, I ordered a slice of cake. I watch the lady take the cake with her bare hands.Place on one side of the cake, cut the other side, and put it on the plate. The fish was a huge with no flavor and than that nasty fishy taste. My boys said it the burger was ok. The service was ok as well. More

Good place, pleasant server. Just make sure that you let them know you don't want too much salt. I was also disappointed because they didn't have any soup. I've been striking out at most places looking for soup, and these restaurants need to know that chili is 🚫 NOT SOUP! The tea was OK. The salad was good. The fried green tomatoes were delicious. If I come in again and they have soup choices, I will give the fifth star.

Ordered take out from here. The service was great. Two nice young ladies attended to me while I waited for my food at the bar. The shrimp appetizer was pretty good. Definitely prefer the shrimp grilled though. The burger was good as well could’ve been more juicier. Can’t remember what kind of cake I had but it was delicious. Love the portion sizes. I had the spaghetti and it hit the spot! Perfectly sauced, meaty, and topped with just the right amount of cheese. The garlic toast on the side was a nice touch too—crispy and buttery. The atmosphere was chill and welcoming, and Tonya, our server, was fantastic—super friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Definitely coming back for another plate! Love they music choice
